Pilots in photo: Andrew Smith and Guy Pitman from South Africa. Both incredible athletes, though it is Andrew Smith who in particular are fondly remembered for his incredible contribution to the sport of paragliding in Southern Africa – one of the pioneers and most accomplished pilots not just in South Africa, but also around the globe for many years. Andrew Smith became the first solo pilot to ever paraglide from Mt Kilimanjaro on 16 September 2011 with our team.

We recommend a minimum stay of 3 nights.

NOTE: These are not standard Kilimanjaro hikes or safaris and should not be compared to standard hiking packages – our climbs & safaris are tailored to the needs of paragliding pilots wanting to fly from Kilimanjaro and enjoy paragliding while on safari. We offer complete package from start to finish in partnership with Tanzania Authorities including all necessary permissions.

On safari in Tanzania with us: The KFC

We absolutely enjoyed taking these 5 Kiwi’s on a real African adventure in Tanzania. Talented filmmaker, Richard Sidey, put this production together of their paragliding safari with ParaglideKilimanjaro.com

Daniel (Dan) Clearwater first contacted us in 2017 after he read about Charlie King’s flight from Kilimanjaro with us. A few years later he was on board our safari & climb in Tanzania. Read all about his experience in the latest Cross Country Magazine Ed 212.
